Point View

Perched on the hills of East Tāmaki Heights, Project Point View is a thoughtful kitchen renovation that demonstrates how considered design can transform a space without altering its footprint. The brief was to create a kitchen that felt fresh, contemporary and better suited to modern family living, while working within the constraints of the existing services. Rather than viewing these limitations as obstacles, they became the foundation for a carefully resolved design that prioritises functionality, flow and timeless aesthetics. A striking Ankara stone benchtop forms the heart of the kitchen, complemented by rich woodgrain cabinetry and soft off-white joinery. The layered material palette introduces warmth, depth and contrast, creating a space that feels both refined and welcoming. Every detail was carefully considered to ensure the kitchen not only looks beautiful but functions effortlessly for everyday life, proving that great design is often about making thoughtful decisions, not simply making bigger changes.
